Other people's footage, not advice: how someone else dives here says nothing about what suits your team. Dive within your training.

The dive

In an enclosed bay off Stocking Island, a blue hole opens in the seabed.

An overhead environment: PADI calls it a cavern dive and suggests a torch. Go in only within your training and with your guide.
Many of the Exumas' blue holes pump massive amounts of water in and out with the tides (Advanced Diver Magazine, on the Exumas in general): dive at the time your guide picks.
Profile and sections

In an enclosed bay off Stocking Island, a blue hole opens in the seabed. A school of horse-eye jacks often circles the entrance and large blue parrotfish pass by; in the hole itself you dive into a cavern, with brackish to salt water (PADI).

It is one of the blue holes of Stocking Island, the long island that shelters George Town from the ocean waves (Wikipedia). Dive Exuma names it among its regular sites, with the reefs and the wreck of The Tug.

Practical: Dive Exuma goes out on a 36 ft catamaran for at most 8 divers; a two-tank dive costs $170.50, including tanks, weights and VAT (Nov 2026).

Depth and profile
Plan for ~28 m (92 ft, Grand Isle Resort); PADI gives a maximum diving depth of ~27 m (90 ft), and 8 m (27 ft) in the same page's data box.
Configuration
PADI calls it a cavern dive and suggests a torch; recreational gear with a torch, other configurations are an estimate.

How to get there

In an enclosed bay off Stocking Island, across the harbour from George Town (~1.6 km from the Government Dock, Wikipedia). Boat dive with Dive Exuma from George Town; PADI also lists a shore entry.

Certification requirements, configurations and trimix depths are estimates for planning. Always check them locally and dive within your training. Compiled from web research (Nov 2026): PADI (Angelfish Blue Hole, with text by Dive Exuma), Dive Exuma, the Grand Isle Resort blog, Advanced Diver Magazine (the Exuma Cave Expedition with Dr. Thomas Iliffe, undated), Wikipedia and the Bahamas National Trust. Angelfish Blue Hole's pin comes from PADI; the other caves have no published pin. Only Angelfish Blue Hole is a regular guided dive; the rest are known from expeditions and are listed as information.
