The dive
Four caves lie in the sheer cliffs of the north-west coast: two big ones you can see from the surface and two completely submerged. In the two wide caves you surface at the back in a large air pocket fully enclosed in rock.

Four caves lie in the sheer cliffs of the north-west coast: two big ones you can see from the surface and two completely submerged. In the two wide caves you surface at the back in a large air pocket fully enclosed in rock. Right next to it is Gudja Cave, a corridor-like cave that narrows and gets shallower towards a crack at ~6 m, often with a halocline (a freshwater source) and a small air chamber. There is little fish, but colourful sponges.

- Wall to 35 m. Taċ-Ċawla: two narrow caves from 20 m, ~40 and ~50 m long; two wide caves of 120 and 130 m with an air pocket at the back. Gudja: entrance ~8 m, the floor drops away to 30 m, arch from 20 m down to the seabed at 34 m
- Configuration
- Wide caves: all configurations. The two narrow caves and the crack at the back of Gudja: small or sidemount is easier (estimate).
- DPV: Not DPV-suitable (estimate)
- Silty caves of 40–130 m; a scooter stirs up silt and gains little.
