Guam has one famous overhead dive: the Blue Hole off Orote Peninsula, a hole in the reef at 15–18 m that drops as a shaft past 91 m, with a window to the open sea at ~40 m. You dive it by boat from Apra Harbor with a local dive centre, and the dive ends as a drift in the open ocean. Guam also has the US Navy's recompression chamber, according to the Navy the only one in Micronesia that also treats civilians.

Good to know
- Past 40 m (130 ft) you need a special certification according to MDA, and Guam Dive Guide warns that it is very easy to go too deep in the Blue Hole.
Tips for safe and enjoyable diving
- The current at the Blue Hole is often strong, especially later in the day: descend along the mooring line and bring a buoy (SMB) for the pickup in open water.
Certification requirements, configurations and trimix depths are estimates for planning. Always check them locally and dive within your training.
