How to get there
In Pedernales province near the Haitian border, about 335 km from Santo Domingo. A long walk through dry, mosquito-ridden desert to a deep blue pool of about 15 × 10 m; the well is hard to find. A natural rock platform at the pool makes the entry easy. Data from 2003: ask about current access.
