The dive
After the shallow coral reef you swim in and out of the canyons, past arches, small caves and lava tubes.
Profile and sections
After the shallow coral reef you swim in and out of the canyons, past arches, small caves and lava tubes. White-tip reef sharks often sleep in the small caves (pukas); a large pinnacle stands under the mooring, and further out garden eels live in the sand.
Practical: Jack's Diving Locker rents dive flags. On the way out, follow the reef's contours so you don't hit the coral.
- Depth and profile
- 0–23 m (0–75 ft): a shallow reef, then a small drop-off with finger canyons, arches, small caves and lava tubes.

This is how the planner decides who in your team may dive this cave. Rules your own trip adds (organizer, a mail, the AI) show with your trip.
How to get there
Shore dive: from Hwy 19 ~5 km (3 miles) down Puako Road to the last turn-off towards the water. Park under the big trees without blocking access; a ~20 m path leads to a gap in the lava south of the parking. The bay is very shallow: enter at higher tide. A dive flag is required by law.
