Why come here
Long Island is the home of Dean's Blue Hole: a hole in a bay near Clarence Town that, at 202–203 m, is one of the deepest blue holes in the world. You walk into the water from the beach; corals and reef fish live on the rim, and deeper the hole opens into a cavern of ~100 m. It is famous above all for freediving; for scuba every operator sets its own requirements, and deeper it becomes technical diving.
Don't miss
- Dean's Blue Hole: from the beach into a hole ~30 m across, with corals on the rim and a school of tarpon at ~20 m.
