The dive
From the beach you swim to a hole in the bay that is ~30 m across at the surface. Deeper it opens into a cavern at least 100 m across.
Profile and sections
From the beach you swim to a hole in the bay that is ~30 m across at the surface. Deeper it opens into a cavern at least 100 m across. Corals and reef fish live on the rim, with small life such as seahorses and shrimp, and a school of tarpon hangs at ~20 m.
At 202 m (Vertical Blue: 203 m) it is one of the deepest blue holes in the world. It is famous as a freediving site: many world records were set here, among them at Vertical Blue.
Practical: scuba is allowed, but every operator sets its own requirements and beyond the upper parts it is technical diving.
