Certification requirements, configurations and trimix depths are estimates for planning. Always check them locally and dive within your training. Compiled from web research (Oct 2026): InDEPTH (2020), promehedinti.ro, showcaves.com, ro.wikipedia, Adevărul, Financiarul, scubaboard (2011), the paper by Vălenaș et al. on Cotețul Dobreștilor, reports of Polish expeditions (sktj.pl), Alba24, Actual de Cluj (2024), Agerpres, economica.net, transilvaniacavediving.com (2021–2022 programmes) and subaquasport.com. Izverna pin from showcaves; the Apuseni springs have none. Certification and configurations are estimates. Only Izverna is a place for visiting cave divers; the rest is expedition terrain.
