Other people's footage, not advice: how someone else dives here says nothing about what suits your team. Dive within your training.

The dive

Per Dive Now this is the best arch for large schools of fish: big snapper and kingfish, and sometimes a bronze whaler. Divers with deco prefer to hang on the sunlit walls north of the arch.

Deep and prone to current. The floor of the arch is at ~37–40 m and continues beyond 50 m at the ends: plan your depth and gas and don't fight the current.
Profile and sections

Per Dive Now this is the best arch for large schools of fish: big snapper and kingfish, and sometimes a bronze whaler. Divers with deco prefer to hang on the sunlit walls north of the arch.

Depth and profile
A short but very deep arch: the boulder floor is at ~37–40 m in the middle and drops away beyond 50 m at both ends.
Configuration
Open arch, but deep and with current: recreational gear within your no-deco time, or tec gear with deco (estimate).

Through a dive centre or guide

This is how the planner decides who in your team may dive this cave. Rules your own trip adds (organizer, a mail, the AI) show with your trip.

How to get there

Boat dive with a local dive centre. The arch is too narrow for the dive boats to pass through.

Certification requirements, configurations and trimix depths are estimates for planning. Always check them locally and dive within your training. Compiled from web research (Oct 2026): DOC (Department of Conservation) on the marine reserve, the websites of Dive Now (Sep 2026), Dive! Tutukaka and Global Dive, Divernet (Dec 2020), Seafriends (2007) on Taravana Cave, Ian Skipworth's underwater galleries (2008, 2013) for depths and Healthpoint on the chamber. No site has a published pin. These are boat dives into sea caves and arches with daylight in reach; Taravana and Isabella Cave are real caves. Certification and configurations are estimates.
