Other people's footage, not advice: how someone else dives here says nothing about what suits your team. Dive within your training.

The dive

The finest cave dive of the Egadi. Already at the entrance you see large groupers, shrimp and other crustaceans, so it is worth it even without going far in.

Fine silt on the chamber floor: careful with your fins or the visibility is gone. The wall outside drops to 50–60 m: watch your depth at the -30 m entrance.
Egadi rules: the cave only guided by a centre from Favignana, from 1 April to 15 January, max 4 divers per guide and 8 per dive, never at night.
Profile and sections

The finest cave dive of the Egadi. Already at the entrance you see large groupers, shrimp and other crustaceans, so it is worth it even without going far in. Inside is a chamber like a Gothic cathedral, full of stalactites, stalagmites and encrusted columns from the time the cave was dry, with light beams through the clear water. 'Demanding but beautiful', wrote SUB magazine; in June 2020 the water on the bottom was 14–15 °C.

Depth and profile
Entrance at ~-29/-30 m; the cave is ~80 m long and 8–10 m high and rises inside to -14 m. The wall outside drops to 50–60 m.
Configuration
Wide entrance and a tall passage: backmount or sidemount with recreational gear, as the centres dive it.
DPV: Not DPV-suitable
Scooters are banned in the AMP without a permit; short cave.

This is how the planner decides who in your team may dive this cave. Rules your own trip adds (organizer, a mail, the AI) show with your trip.

How to get there

By boat with a centre from the Egadi (Blu Tek or Voglia di Mare, Marettimo): you drop along a ledge to -29 m, where the wide entrance opens. Guided only, under the AMP's cave rules (1 April–15 January, max 4 divers per guide, 8 per dive, never at night).

Certification requirements, configurations and trimix depths are estimates for planning. Always check them locally and dive within your training. Compiled from web research (Oct 2026): the Isole Egadi AMP regulation (DM 1 June 2010) and the decrees for Capo Gallo (2002), Plemmirio (2004) and the Pelagie (2008) via mase.gov.it, SUB magazine (Marettimo, 2020), Il Giornale dei Marinai (2023), divingaway.com, balarm.it, Duikersgids, milazzo.life, the PADI pages of Blu Tek Diving, Capo Murro Diving Center and Nike Diving, the SIMSI chamber list (March 2024), AGI (2021), Wikipedia; for the Plemmirio caves the AMP's route pages and 2026 rules (disciplinare) and Capo Murro Diving Center's site (Nov 2026). Only those two caves have a pin, from the buoys in the AMP rules; for the others the map links search the place. Rules change — check locally.
