The cracked floor of this cave shelters slipper lobsters and moray eels, and the ceiling is full of tiny shrimp. It is a favourite of photographers for the light.

How to get there

By boat with a centre from the Egadi, on the west side of Marettimo (zone A): the boat may not anchor there, so it goes up to the wall and you jump. Guided only.

    PADI centre in Marettimo harbour with a 15–18 m boat and a compressor aboard. Dives the island's caves (Cattedrale, Perciata, due Camere, Tuono) under the Egadi rules. According to divingaway it also teaches PADI cave courses; its own PADI page lists only Scuba Diver — ask.
