Other people's footage, not advice: how someone else dives here says nothing about what suits your team. Dive within your training.

The dive

You dive here in very clear water of ~14 °C, all year round. The hole in the 10 m chamber comes out at the remains of the old Sotira church.

Unstable: the 10 m chamber holds a large, loose rockfall, and earthquakes loosen rocks from the ceiling.
Steep, loose slope to the entrance (up to 45–50°): ropes and climbing gear needed to move the equipment.
Profile and sections

You dive here in very clear water of ~14 °C, all year round. The hole in the 10 m chamber comes out at the remains of the old Sotira church. It is the only way in for hundreds of bats, so do not disturb them.

This is an expedition dive: in 2018 Martyn Farr's team and Antonis Grafas's team dived it, with help from Aquatic.

Depth and profile
Sump of ~240 m between the Hiridoni and Sotira caves, max -25 m, through a passage of ~20 × 20 m. At ~190 m a chamber 10 m high. Beyond Sotira the cave goes on for hundreds of metres.
Configuration
Roomy passage: all configurations, but all gear has to go over steep, loose ground to the entrance.
DPV: unknown
Not known whether scooters are used; awkward transport to the entrance.

This is how the planner decides who in your team may dive this cave. Rules your own trip adds (organizer, a mail, the AI) show with your trip.

How to get there

Near the village of Poulata, on the east of the island near Sami: along a gravel road and through a gate onto private land with goats and sheep (ask the owner), then down a steep slope. The entrance is ~250 m from the car, over loose ground with slopes of up to 45–50°; a 4x4 helps to move the gear, and the team used ropes and climbing equipment.
